I have recently become annoyed with seeing T.U.F. participants appearing on the maincard of ppv's for their first fights. I know they may have a bigger following from being on the show but I think we miss out on better fights.
Case in point, Tamdan McCrory vs. John Howard. Because of the Sadollah/Hendricks fight being on the main card, I miss out on a fight that has the potential to be fight of the night. The only way I will see it is if the main card fights go by very fast and lately, that hasn't happened. I'd rather see McCrory/Howard on the main card.
I just think it's a disservice to the fans, especially when there may be better fights on the undercard. T.U.F. participants shouldn't be on the maincard of a ppv just because they were on the show, put them on the ppv if it is a fight the fans want to see. Most of the times, I don't think it is.
That's why I think the UFC should have more "Fight Nights" because it would give the fans a free chance at seeing how good the T.U.F. participants could be. It will also give the T.U.F. participants a chance to build a bigger following that what they already have. Fight Nights is where T.U.F. participants should be, not ppv's until they deserve it.
